Capt. Andy Bates

Hometown: Beaufort, NC
Occupation: Tow Boat Captain / Professional Fish and Waterfowl Guide
Corporal United States Marine Corps 2003-2007 with combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-05 and 05-06; USCG OUPV License

Andy's passion for waterfowl began chasing ducks on the Puget Sound in the mid 90's. When the Marine Corps brought him to North Carolina in 2003, Andy embraced the rich history and heritage of waterfowling in Coastal Carolina. The thrill of hunting divers and sea ducks in the massive expanse of the Pamlico Sound is what drives him to grind through the challenging conditions of Eastern North Carolina. Andy lives and breathes for his wife and boys Jessica, Buddy, and Troy. The example he sets as a father is one the original inspirations of the Dixie Decoys Movement.
